| WOW!! I cant believe how awesome this yagi antenna works. I thought when i read about it on ebay "yeah, right, there is no way it will be that simple and work that good". I was bad wrong. I popped in the disk, 20 seconds later its finished loading the driver, i plugged in the USB and "shazam", i've got dozens of access points. I cant believe your not selling millions of these things. My laptop with its normal antenna and wireless card will pick up 5 to 6 access points at my home. As soon as i plugged in the Yagi, i had 19 access points, and i dont even have it mounted outside the house, its proped up inside my window. At my office, my desktop computer wireless card is bad weak, i usually pick up 2 access points and they are so weak, i cannot connect to the net, as soon as i plugged in the Yagi, I had 7 to 8 access points and had a strong connection. I cant believe it! I would strongly recommend this thing to anyone. Thanks guys, awesome product!!! |

Hello, I received the Yagi today and it is simply awsome !! I thought the Cantenna was terrific and it is,but this Yagi is simply awsome. Michael your products are just too good for words. I think its time you came up with a USB powered omnidirectional antenna to add to your line of long distance antennas. so that I could buy one of those off of you.You guys are great and the shipping was VERY fast coming from you to me here in the states. On Netstumbler I went from seeing one ap that was just barely out of the noise to over a dozen aps with three at a low connectivity state with the Cantenna to 23 aps with 3 good and one very good connectivity with the Yagi.you have truly terrific products !! .... We bundle this combo with a LMR-195 Cable to connect the Router to the Yagi antenna. We use 2' cable length to be sure you get the most of the signal (Because of signal loss, more cable length means less signal strength). Don't be FOOLED by Low quality Cable, This is a real LMR-195 Low Loss Cable.
Please remember to use the shortest cable possible for your connection, For example you lose 0.19dB per ft using LMR-195 cable because of the noise created by the cable itself.

This new version with N type connector have the same strength than our USB version, but depending of the sensitivity and emission power of your wifi card, the final strength may vary.
Please take note that each 3 Dbm means twice the Power (Example: the Yagi antenna is 12 Dbm more than Biquad antenna so it is 2X2X2X2 = 16 Times stronger compared to a biquad) .
As you can see in the Netstumbler screenshot, our N Type Yagi is more powerful than our Cantenna (Which is already stronger than the original pringle style cantenna sold anywhere else).

Here are our experience with chinese copy: We ordered a few chinese copy of our previous router used in this kit (the linksys router) because we were thinking they were original... that's what the seller says! We ordered 10 of those to make a good test... Result: PATHETIC! They can't handle multi-port connexion (this mean you will have a lot of problems downloading torrents files), they are 2 times slower than original one and will reboot if you connect a few computers wirelessly, the motherboard is based on the first version of the linksys router... and the worst: they all have same MAC Address, which mean you cannot install 2 in the same network... they are cheaper... but we put those ones in the waste because we don't want our customers to get problems using it! |
Warning: The yagi antenna is weatherproof, but high or low temperature, humidity, rain, snow can sometime give you a lower signal strength (especially rain on the antenna, or snow covering the entire antenna). But this low signal is solved when the temperature is normal and cannot affect the antenna on a long term basis. The router itself is not designed for outdoor use, so if you put this router outside you may need to make a box to be sure there no water coming in the router.
